OPUS KLASSIK 2023 honours composer and conductor Konstantia Gourzi as “Composer of the Year”

Berlin, 7 October 2023 – The prestigious OPUS KLASSIK award, one of the most important honours in the classical music world, will this year honour the outstanding composer and conductor Konstantia Gourzi as “Composer of the Year”. This prestigious award is given for her exceptional work and her latest album “Whispers”. The award ceremony will take place during a two-day festival on 7 and 8 October 2023 in Berlin.

Konstantia Gourzi, an internationally acclaimed artist, has created a body of work with her album “Whispers” that not only impresses musically, but also carries an important message. The compositions on the album take up the theme of nature and aim to promote appreciation and sensitivity for the environment.
